Adding an "Other" answer option with or without text box field to a close-ended question allows respondents to either offer additional information about their choice, or provide an alternative answer if the available answer choices do not apply to them.

This option is available for following close-ended questions: single choice, multiple choice.

It has three configuration possibilities:

  1. Show answer option named "Other" without text box field. The respondents can select the option but cannot type in an answer.

2. Show answer option with a user defined text and with text box field. The respondents can select the option and have to enter an answer.

3. Show answer option with a user defined text, without text box field. The respondents can select the option but cannot type in an answer.
