The Opiria app, available for Android and iOS devices, allows users to receive and answer mobile surveys and diaries. The app also works offline, meaning that answers and feedback that are given when the user is offline will be automatically uploaded when the device is connected to the internet again.
Use one of the following channels to distribute a survey or diary through the Opiria app:
Notification
App QR code
App link
App identifier
You can invite users from the Opiria panel to a study by sending them a push notification through the Opiria app. Notifications can be send only to panel users that already installed and registered to the app. When defining the target distribution group to which notifications will be sent, you can use filters for gender, age and country. If the study contains multiple questionnaires, the users will be notified automatically each time a questionnaire was started. The title of the notification is "You have a new survey!"
To send notifications for your study:
Go to DISTRIBUTION tab and set the App notification flag to ON
Add a new distribution group by pressing on the + button
Add independent variables choosing between Age, Gender and Country. Configure the filters for the independent variables according to the desired respondent profile. This step is optional. If you do not select any independent variables, the study will be sent to the entire panel.
Another possibility to invite users to your study is to make the QR code of the study available to them. If the QR code is scanned with the Opiria app, the corresponding study is automatically downloaded and can be answered through the app. If someone not having the app installed scans the QR code with the camera or a common scanning app, he will be automatically guided to the App store / Play store for installing the Opiria app. After installation and registration, the survey appears automatically in the survey list and can be answered.
Users that got the study through the QR code will automatically receive all questionnaires of the study as soon as they are started from Opiria Studio.
To get the study QR code:
Go to DISTRIBUTION tab and click on App QR code
Copy the QR image or download it as PDF and make it available to participants (through emails or mailings, printed on flyers, placed on table displays, etc.)
The study link works similar to the QR code. If clicked, the corresponding study is automatically downloaded and can be answered through the app. If someone not having the app installed is accessing the link, he will be automatically guided to the App store / Play store for installing the Opiria app. After installation and registration, the survey appears automatically in the survey list and can be answered.
Users that got the study through the app link will automatically receive all questionnaires of the study as soon as they are started from Opiria Studio.
To get the study link:
Go to DISTRIBUTION tab and there to App link
Copy the link and make it available to participants (e.g. through emails, text messaging or on websites)
The identifier is a number which is unique for each study. Respondents can access a study by entering the study identifier (ID) in the Opiria app. The study ID is available in the App ID section in the DISTRIBUTION tab.
To get the study identifier:
Go to DISTRIBUTION tab and there to App ID
Copy the identifier and make it available to participants (e.g. through emails, text messaging, mailings etc.)
