The Experience Rating question is a special variant of the rating question. It is available only for Diaries and its recommended use is for giving feedback on a specific touch point. Experience Rating combines a close ended smiley rating scale with an input field where respondents can enter the name of the touch point.

The scale is made of five smiley images with the values: very satisfied, satisfied, neither, dissatisfied, very dissatisfied. Weight values can be assigned to each smiley in the scale and the average is automatically computed in the Analysis section.

To add an Experience Rating question to your diary questionnaire:

  1. Go to the DESIGN tab and click + in the Pages section

  2. In the question selection dialog, select Experience Rating and click ADD

  3. Configure the question by entering the text for the touch point name and the scale values

The Experience Rating question has following configurable elements:

  • Experience name*: ask here respondents to enter the name of the touch point or what they are evaluating.

  • Additional information: additional text to be communicated to the respondents, like details on how to answer the question. Will be displayed in smaller font than the message text.

  • Media: an image or video that will be displayed right below the question text.

  • Rating scale: shows the smiley scale and allows to define weight values for each scale option.
